The Tea Act
- British Parliament passed the Tea Act in 1773.
- This launched the final spark to the War.
- Tea was shipped to the colonies by the East India Company.
- The Bill was suppose to help the Company out of debt so British made the colonists by from them.
- The colonists viewed the Act as an example of taxation tyranny.
- They also had another duty to make sure the ships of the Company were coming in place.
- The colonists rebelled buy taking over 3 ships with the leader of Sam Adams.
- The dumped all of the tea over in the water called the Boston Tea Party.
