The Stamp Act
- Passed by British parliament in 1765.
- It required them to pay tax on every single printed paper.
- Included newspapers, legal documents, receipts, etc.
- British passed the Act for the security near the Appalachian Mountains.
- Was viewed as an attempt for England to raise money by the colonies without approval.
- With this Act, the colonists got really mad and turned to rebellion.
- "No Taxation without Representation" was their saying while they protested.
- They also refused to buy printed paper and made a rebellion stamp.
