Ben Franklin

- On May 9, 1754, Franklin drew a snake that was divided into 8 parts.
- It appeared in the Gazette Magazine.
- The snake represented the colonies and how they should have freedom and unify together.
- Franklin went to France as the official diplomat and ambassador of the colonies.
- He convinced France to help the Americans.
- The French sent supplies to America to help win the War.
- He helped write the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence.
- He also signed the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Treaty of Alliance, and the Treaty of Paris.
- Helped stopped the Stamp Act.
- Joined the Continental Congress.
- A few of Franklin's discoveries and inventions were a stove, the lightning rod, and bifocals.
